July 24 2010 - Finally catching the ferry

Hey everyone,

This morning, where did we have breakfast? Yes, Green Tea and cream cheese bagel at Starbucks again. It's the morning ritual now. I dokumented it with pictures but because my computer is not working I can not post them. I'll eventually get to it though.





Then we took the subway to South Sea Port (or something like that) it's a kind of outdoor shopping mall right along the port so you can actually see and smell the water. It really made us want to go to the beach, especially because it was freaking hot today, hotter than it had been (34 degrees) We found the stores and all the things we couldn't get yesterday and YAY, I finally found Crocs! Not in my color though but still, I feel like my feet are alive again when I walk in those shoes, I really am glad I found them.




Then we took the Staten Island ferry to, of course Staten Island. The thing is, it takes you by the Statue of liberty and the whole thing is free, so why goo by 25 bucks for it.

Back in Manhattan we started to get hungry. Today we wanted to go to Chipotle. Fabienne had never been there so it would be nice. It took us ages to walk there thoug. But when we finally did get there, we felt like we had really earned the Burritos. And they were really good, we will definitly go back to Chipotle.





We got back to the Hostel at about 8.30pm. We had actually decided to go out for a drink with Kirsten tonight to celebrate my birthday which actually is tomorrow. Right then we did not see that happening though, we were just toooo tired. What we did was unpack all the things we bought, cut of the tags and fold up everything etc.

Later we decided to go for Cold Stone Ice cream instead of a drink. Kirsten took us there. What you do is, you chose an ice cream and what you want in it like M&Ms or Oreos etc. and then they mix everything together on that cold stone, hence the name, cold stone ice cream.



Now I'm sitting on the computer, it's 1am, so actually my birthday and a huge storm just began outside. Also I just realised that I spent 14 dollars for the internet today!!! Anyway, that's it for now
