Hey everyone
Today was a pretty interesting day for me. I mean I watch a whole lot of american movies of course some include college stuff. So I more or less knew what's going on there but I had never really been to a college, like to the dorms and stuff, but let's start at the beginning, that's usually a pretty good place to start.
So after getting up, I waited for Cassidee to show up. Last time I had been to San Antonio she was there to go to orientation and now was the day she would actually move into her new appartment and meet her roommates, I got to go with which is pretty cool.
So she picked me up and we went over there, it's on the other side of town. When we drove buy, we decided to go have lunch first cause there were so many cars and so many people standing in a line that we thought it would be better to come back later. We went to Bill Millers which is very close. Cass knew it cause she had been eating there everyday during orientation. It was really pretty good, exept for the peach cobbler, not the best.
Back at the college we got in the line to get Cass registered and get her keys. Five Minutes in line a woman told us that this was only the line for people missing something. We did not really know what missing something meant but we made our way around the building to stand in the "people not missing anything"-line. When it finally was our turn, the girl informed us that Cass was actually missing something and that we had to go back to the other line. YaY!!!
We went back outside and stood in the burning sun for like one and a half houers till we learned that they were missing a copy of Cass' driving licence. So that was done pretty fast and we were ready to get the keys. But oh wait, no!!! guess what, the keys were not there, meaning going back to the other building, stand in yet another line for like an houer and then finally get everything including the keys. That was a marathon, seriously.
We went to her appartment building and checked it out. It's not bad, 4 rooms, each one has it's own bathroom, there's a washing machine and a dryer, pretty cool, i wanted to move in there! After that we started getting her stuff into her room and then waited for her mum to show up and bring the rest. Meanwhile we noticed, that the appartment, especially the kitchen were really, really dirty when actually, they were supposed to be clean.
Sandy showed up with her mum and Scott (her and Melodye's brother) and we got all the rest of the stuff inside, now Cass just has to find a spot for everything. Sandy went to the office to get them to clean the appartment.
I went back to Melodye's and got ready for dinner. Melodye's mum had invited us to have mexican food. It was really cool, all her kids were in town and also Cass and Austin. Scott made me try some Texan beer, it wasn't even bad, on the contrary. It really was a fun night.
